Fiona Stanley Florist - Time to plant your bulbs for spring flowers!

At Fiona Stanley Florist we LOVE all the new flowers that Spring brings – freesias, daffodils, tulips and hyacinths are our favs. For that colour burst to happen in Spring though, NOW is the time to get into your garden and start planting.

For all you first timers out there – it’s very easy…Either pop them into pot, or if you are planting them in the garden, find a sunny spot with good drainage. The rule of thumb is to plant the bulbs in a sunny spot, at twice the height that they are and the same distance apart. Add a handful of compost for a nutrient boost -- that’s it!

Remember: there’s no such thing as too many spring bulbs. We love to mix them up in an array of colours and textures for added impact. Here is some pinspiration for ways to plant the flowers we love.
